"Golden Week"

"Golden Week" is obviously Japanese English and it means a week which continues public holidays between 29th of April to 5th of May.
*29th of April: "Showa no Hi (hi means day in Japanese)"
It's used to be Emperor Hirohito's(previous emperor) birthday and after he past away the name was changed. Show is years name of his reign.
*3rd of May:Constitution day
*4th of May:"Green Day"
I think this public holiday was set straight public holiday, because the public holiday was started from 1988.
*5th of May:"Children's Day"

I'll just lay back during the week.
