Monja the Japanese local food

My Friend, S, who lives in Manchester, England , came back to Japan for her summer holiday. So, We (former classmates in an English school) had a reunion party a Monja restaurant in Tukishima which is a famous town as there are a lot of Monja Restaurants. Monja is a Tokyo's local food. See photos. It looks like not yummy (who say it looks vxxxx?), but the smell and taste is good like a soup with soy sauce. Uhhhh, it's difficult explain the taste!
